Recently, someone shared with me that they consider themselves to be an ambivert. Being an introvert, I was quite familiar with introverts and extroverts had never heard about ambiverts.

So what is an ambivert? Without getting too technical, ambivert is what happens when an extrovert and have a baby, and that baby is just like both parents. Ambiverts are re like social chameleons. They can enjoy a loud party or enjoy the serenity of a quiet evening alone with equal ease.

Ambiverts have an unpredictable social battery life. Sometimes the battery is fully charged by social interaction, other times it drains faster than your phone’s battery when you have forgotten to bring your travel charger with you and nobody has the correct cord you need for a battery boost. Remarkably, they can be the most outgoing person in the room or the one who’s most looking forward to going home to have some quality alone time.

In a nutshell, ambiverts are like smartphones on power-saving mode and what you get from them depends on their percentage of battery at the moment!
